Identify and explain the organization of the Judiciary
--The Judiciary branch is headed by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is lead by one chief justice and 8 associate justices that work together to decide on cases. There are also state courts that reside beneath the Supreme Court, but in matters of the constitution, all cases go to SCOTUS. The judiciary branch also includes District Courts and the Court of Appeals.
Identify and provide examples of the powers of the Judiciary powers.
--The Judicial branch has the power to judge constitutionality of government actions. This is called jurisdiction. Whether it be a law, appointment, or action, the Supreme Court can try a case to determine whether the action is constitutional.
